“Fault & Change” #Trust30

(I thought this 30 day writing challenge started on June 1st and ended on June 30th…hence the 30 days…)
Today’s Writing Prompt:
I must be myself. I cannot break myself any longer for you, or you. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Think of all the things that are not working in your life.  That job you don’t like, that relationship that’s not working, those friends that annoy you.  Now turn them all on you.  Imagine that everything that’s not working in your life, is your fault.  How would you approach it?  What would you work on to change your life to the state that you want it to be?
My Response:
Man, oh man.  This is a loaded question.  How many people like to turn everything going wrong on themselves?
That being said, I do have my moments where it’s not me.
However, being a perfectionist, I have many moments where I do try to fix it…even if it can’t be fixed.  Something surely can always go better.  That job I don’t like?  No problem right now.  I resigned from it.  Still trying to find a new one.  That is ENTIRELY on me.  Relationship?  I’m married.  You can love each other, but you may not always like each other.  I’ve heard many a wise person say that marriage is work (all people that have been married to only one person and going on 30+ years).  Friends that annoy me?  I have one really good friend that she won’t stay in touch.  How can I fix that?  Go track her down and demand she call me?  Creepy!  That one is truly all on her.
I think about these things more than I ever really let on.  I always figure out how I can fix something…
